I loved seeing the flags line the streets of our neighborhood this morning.
And I'm grateful for all those who've given their lives & service to keep us free.
Especially -
Grandpa Hickman (Air Force - World War II),
Grandpa Romm (Navy - World War II),
Dad Hickman (National Guard),
and my Dad (Air Force).

when we lived in idaho, our little town's boy scouts lined the residential streets with US flags on all the appropriate holidays for their fund raiser. each time they were out, they took my breath away. :)
i'm with ya on gratitude for the veterans who have sacrificed plenty for us, especially our relatives.
wish more people were as grateful as they should be. ::hugs::
